2 beef fillet pieces (200 g each)

1 leek

1 carrot

3 spring roll pastry

1 large sweet potato

100 ml Cream

Salt and pepper

Noor Oil



This is the ideal comfort food, and perfect for meat lovers! It also blends East and West by using spring roll pastry to wrap the beef, rather than a more Continental pastry like for like puff pastry. But the best part is its presentation! If you have guests over or a special occasion, this is the dish for you!

Steps Involved:

Peel the sweet potato, chop it and boil it in a mixture of water and milk.

While the sweet potato is cooking, cut the leek and carrot in juliennes and sauté it in a pan with some Noor Oil until al dente. Season and set aside.

To sear the beef, add a little Noor Oil in a separate pan till really hot. Brown the beef on both sides.

To prepare the surprises, place a piece of beef over a pastry sheet and top it up with the vegetables. Now close the pastry sheet to resemble a moneybag with the help of a toothpick. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 15 minutes or until golden.

While the surprises are cooking, strain the sweet potato and sauté in a pan with some Noor Oil. Add salt and pepper to taste, as well as the cream, and blend.

To plate the dish, place a base of creamy sweet potato on the plate and put a surprise on top. Enjoy!


This dish looks very impressive and can be made for a dinner party at home.
