Preparation
Introduction:
A traditional Indian recipe with a rich marinade that imparts a distinctive and authentic flavour to chicken.
Steps Involved:
Mix all the ingredients found under Marinade 1 in a bowl.
To this add the chicken pieces and set aside for half an hour.
Put a thick bottomed pan on medium heat and melt 2 tbsp of butter in it, add the carom seeds and gram flour and stir for a few seconds and take off the fire.
In a large bowl, mix well the roasted carom seeds, yoghurt, chili powder, turmeric powder, tandoori masala, ginger-garlic paste, black pepper and red color.
To this add the chicken and let the mixture coat it very well. Keep aside for about 2-4 hours in a refrigerator.
Once it’s time to be grilled, arrange the chicken pieces on the skewers for grilling.
Grill these delicious tikkas on a barbecue, cover and grill for about 10 minutes.
Then baste the chicken pieces with butter and cook till the chicken is reddish-brown all around.
Serve with lemon and onion wedges.
