Ingredients

½ cup all-purpose flour

½ cup cocoa

2 eggs

½ cup butter (melted & cooled)

½ tsp vanilla essence

1 cup powdered sugar

½ cup chopped walnuts

1/3 cup chocolate chips

2 tbsp  milk (if required)

Preparation

Introduction:

A common lunchbox fare, Brownies are normally had with tea or coffee. These steps below show you how to prepare delightful, crumbling brownies in no time.

Steps Involved:

Pass all-purpose flour, powdered sugar and cocoa through a fine sieve.

Whisk eggs and butter together, incorporating air. Fold the sieved flour mixture in and lightly stir in the vanilla essence, chopped walnuts and chocolate chips.

Note: It is important not to stir too much, as all the aeration of the mixture will be lost leading to tough brownies. In case the mixture is too dry, add 2 tablespoons of milk and mix well.

Grease a microwavable dish with butter, pour the mixture into it and microwave on HIGH setting for 5 minutes.

Once completed. Allow it to cool, cut into brownie squares which are ready to serve.

Suggestion:
Whilst brownies can be eaten cold, it is equally delicious serving them warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
