Ingredients
700
gm beef tenderloin (thinly sliced)
⅓
cup white sugar
⅓
cup rice vinegar
2
tbsp frozen orange juice
2
cups water
¼
cup corn starch
2
tbsp orange zest
3
tbsp grated ginger
1
garlic clove (crushed)
Broccoli (steamed for serving)
1
tbsp soy sauce
1
cup Noor Oil for frying
Salt to taste
1
tsp of Noor Oil
Preparation
Steps Involved:
Get a baking sheet ready and lay the beef slices in a single layer and place a paper towel on top to dry it out, placing it in the fridge for 30 min. In the meantime you need to work on mixing the vinegar, sugar, orange juice, soy sauce and a pinch of salt and keep this mixture aside.
Take the beef out of the fridge and coat it with corn starch. Start frying the beef with Noor Oil in a wok at medium heat. Cook until it is crispy and golden then take it out and drain it on a paper towel. Add a little Noor Oil to the wok and the orange zest to make the dish aromatic, now pour in the soy sauce mixture made earlier and bring to a boil, lower the heat and simmer until the sauce is thick.
Add the beef in there and coat it well. The dish is now prepared and ready to be served.
Suggestion:
Serve the beef hot with rice and add the steamed broccoli and sprinkle some orange zest on the top.
