Preparation
Introduction:
Shawarma is a type of street food that can be found in many countries in the Middle East. It can be purchased quickly from street venders and consumed on-the-go. There are so many versions of shawarma, try this one, you will not regret it.
Steps Involved:
Combine all the ingredients of the marinade in a large bowl.
Place the chicken breasts as full pieces or you can slice them for more marinating flavor.
Rub the marinade all over. Cover and leave in the fridge overnight.
When ready, heat the oven on medium heat and place the chicken, cook until done.
Mix all the ingredients of the garlic sauce, set aside.
Remove chicken from oven, leave to rest for 10 minutes, then slice. (you can toss the chicken slices again in a frying pan with little Noor Oil and a pinch of shawarma spices for extra rich flavor).
To assemble the chicken shawarma sandwich, spread some garlic sauce on a small bread, then place a few pieces of chicken, tomato, pickles, and mint leaves. Roll it up.
Serve more garlic sauce on the side for dipping the sandwich.
Enjoy.
Suggestion:
You could bake the chicken well in advance and keep it sliced. When it is time to serve, toss the sliced chicken in a frying pan with a little Noor Oil and a pinch of Shawarma spice.
