Steps Involved:
Mix sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt in a saucepan on low heat.
Add the milk and mix well till it forms a smooth mixture.
Turn the heat to medium and continue whisking till the milk starts boiling and becomes thick.
Continue boiling for about 10 minutes and then take from the heat.
Add the chopped chocolate and vanilla essence and keep whisking till the chocolate melts into the milk.
Divide the pudding into serving glasses and allow it to set for at least 3 hours.
Serve cold with a topping of whipped cream.
